Steelers Waive WR L’Damian Washington From I.R. With Injury Settlement

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially waived WR L’Damian Washington injured reserve on Tuesday with an injury settlement, according to the NFL Transactions release.

Washington wound up reverting to the injured reserve list after he cleared waivers a few weeks ago.

Washington, 24, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months with the team before he was later placed on waivers and claimed by the 49ers.

Since then, Washington has had brief stints with the Giants, Browns, and Dolphins before eventually landing with the Steelers back in January.

During his college career, he totaled 100 receptions for 1,735 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns over the course of four years.

Washington has yet to appear in an NFL game.

  1. Well he needs to land with the Panthers. The only place a player can get straightened out. Watch for Stephen Hill to emerge.
