Steelers Roster Cuts

The Pittsburgh Steelers have begun the process of trimming their roster down to 75 players. Here’s the full list of roster cuts up to this point:

  • Jordan Zumwalt
  • Mike Reilly
  • Issac Blakeney
  • Levi Norwood
  • Michael Cooper
  • Giorgio Newberry
  • Khaynin Mosley-Smith
  • Julian Whigham

Other roster moves include:

  • TE Ladarius Green (PUP)
  • QB Dustin Vaughan (Waived/Injured)
  • OT Jerald Hawkins (Injured Reserve)

Green, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chargers back in 2012. He played out his rookie deal for the Chargers before signing a four-year, $20 million contract that included a $4.75 million signing bonus with the Steelers.

In 2015, Green appeared in 13 games for the Chargers and recorded 37 receptions for 429 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

Vaughan, 25, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of West Texas A&M in May of last year. He wound up making the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was unfortunately among Dallas’ final roster cuts last year.

The Bills later signed Vaughan to their practice squad before cutting him loose towards the end of the season. Vaughan wound up signing a future/reserve contract with Steelers this past January.

During his college career, Vaughan completed 593 of 949 passing (62.5) for 8,124 yards to go along with 70 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
