Steelers Won’t Lose Draft Pick For Mike Tomlin Sideline Incident

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Thursday that the NFL has determined that they will not docked a draft pick for the Mike Tomlin sideline incident that occurred during last year’s Thanksgiving Day game against the Ravens.

Previous reports indicated that the league would only take action if it impacted the Ravens playoff seeding.

The NFL fined Tomlin $100,000 for interfering with a kick return from Jacoby Jones that appeared to force him to turn back into the field of play, instead of running down the sideline.

This is obviously great news for Pittsburgh who could really use all the draft picks they can get as they look to build a younger nucleus in the coming years.
