Steelers WR Eli Rogers To Open Season On PUP List

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that Steelers WR Eli Rogers is expected to start the regular season on the PUP list, which means he’ll miss the first six games.

Rogers is suspended for Week 1 due to a substance abuse violation and is working his way back from a torn ACL.

Rogers, 25, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in 2015. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1,580,000 contract with the Steelers before returning to the team on a one-year contract last month.

In 2017, Rogers appeared in 14 games for the Steelers and caught 18 passes for 149 yards receiving and one touchdown.
