Stephen Tulloch Seeking Large Contract

Anwar Richardson of Mlive.com reports that Lions LB Stephen Tulloch is looking for a contract close to the one that the Browns gave to D’Qwell Jackson a few weeks ago. Jackson wound up receiving $42.5 million over five seasons and includes $19 million in guarantees and bonuses.

Richardson believes that Tulloch expects to make at least $6 million per year but the inside linebacker market has been very slow to this point which implies that teams aren’t willing to overpay for the position as of now.

Last year the Lions got a steal when they signed him to a one-year deal worth $3.2 million. Tulloch could be looking to make up for that this season which is why a deal has yet to be worked out with the Lions.

We have Tulloch listed as the #7 best available free agent in our updated Top 50 Free Agents List.
