Still “Mutual Interest” Between Packers & FB John Kuhn

Ryan Wood of Packers News reports that there’s “mutual interest” between the Packers and free agent RB John Kuhn about bringing him back to Green Bay.

However, Wood adds that there’s still no definitive date for when a deal could be finalized. As of now, talks between the two parties are ongoing and the door remains open to bringing Kuhn back for the 2016 season.

According to Wood, Kuhn has been working out daily and hopes to play at least one more season with the Packers. Although, Wood’s source did say that there are some within the Packers who want develop second-year FB Aaron Ripkowski instead.

There hasn’t been very much buzz about Kuhn since free agency opened several months ago, but it’s clear that the Packers are open to possibly bringing him back at some point.

Kuhn, 33, has spent nine of his 10 years in the NFL with the Packers and has played the past few years out on one-year contracts.

In 2015, Kuhn appeared in all 16 games and ran for 28 yards on nine carries (3.1 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 56 yards receiving and two total touchdowns. .
