Still No Interest In WR Braylon Edwards

Jim ThomasĀ of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams have shown no interest in signing for Braylon Edwards. Instead, Thomas mentions that Steve Smith is still a possible target for the Rams.

Even more interesting than that is the fact that no NFL teams appear to be interested in Edwards. Some believed that the Rams could be an option for Edwards because he was the Jets former offensive coordinatorĀ Brian Schottenheimer when Edwards was playing in New York. Previous rumors have mentioned the Jets as being a possible option but they’ve yet to show any amount of interest in the idea.

Edwards is coming off of a terrible season with the 49ers and given his previous history of off-the-field issues, it would be surprising to see a team offer him any more than a chance to earn a spot during training camp.
