Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sign RB Doug Martin To Five-Year Contract

NFL.com reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed one of their first-round draft picks, RB Doug Martin, to a five-year contract.

Martin was taken with the #31 pick, after the Bucs took Alabama safety Mark Barron with the #7 pick following a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. With this business done, twelve first-round draft picks have been signed to contracts.

Martin, out of Boise State, is expected to be Tampa Bay’s starting RB come Week 1, ahead of the incumbent LeGarrette Blount.
