Teams Have Reportedly Contacted Panthers About Possible Trade For S Tre Boston

Bill Voth of the Black & Blue Review, citing multiple sources, reports that at least one team has contacted the Panthers about S Tre Boston‘s availability in a trade.

However, Voth says that the Panthers aren’t shopping Boston around for offers, but it’s safe to assume they’re willing to least at least listen to potential offers for him.

Boston, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2,625,468 contract and stands to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading Boston would free up $1,797,000 of available cap space while creating $101,367 in dead money.

In 2016, Boston appeared in 15 games for the Panthers and recorded 53 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions and seven pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 46 safety out of 89 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding as the news is available.
