Teams Showed “Significant Interest” In Falcons DE Vic Beasley Before Trade Deadline

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that there was “significant interest” in Falcons DE Vic Beasley leading up to this year’s trade deadline.

However, the Falcons decided that they are going to stick with the former first-round pick, even though he has just one sack this season.

Rapoport notes that is is also a sign that the Falcons haven’t given up on this season.

Beasley, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Falcons back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $14.5 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

The Falcons picked up Beasley’s fifth-year option worth $14,200,000 for the 2019 season.

In 2018, Beasley has appeared in seven games for the Falcons and recorded seven tackles, one sack and a pass defense.
