Titans Waive QB John Skelton To Make Room For Tyler Wilson

The Tennessee Titans announced that they have waived QB John SkeltonĀ on Tuesday.

This move was expected given that the Titans just signed former Raiders 2013 fourth-round pick Tyler Wilson to their active roster.

Skelton, 25, has bounced around the NFL since being released by the Bengals before the start of the regular season. He worked out for numerous NFL teams, but it really seemed unlikely that the Titans would retain him beyond this season.

As for Wilson, his move to the Titans’ active roster indicates some form of commitment to the rookie. Wilson looked shaky during his preseason stint and was eventually beaten out by undrafted free agentĀ Matt McGloin and Terrelle Pryor.Ā
