Terrelle Pryor Is Only Browns’ Player Who’s “Untouchable”, Willing To Trade All-Pro’s

Courtney Fallon reports that WR Terrelle Pryor is the only player on Browns that is “absolutely untouchable” right now.

  • According to Fallon, Cleveland is willing to trade any All-Pro on their roster but not Pryor, as they value him too highly.

Earlier in the day, Ian Rapoport reported that the Browns view Pryor as a valuable building block and a rare talent, and have no plans to consider making him available for trade, so this fits with what Fallon is reporting.

Jason Cole of B/R reported a few days ago that there could “significant trade action” at this year’s trade deadline on November 1 with the Browns, being one team other franchises are monitoring right now.

Cole specifically mentioned that the Browns could have the two best players available at this year’s deadline in LT Joe Thomas and CN Joe Haden.

It’s worth mentioning that Thomas is owed roughly $4 million for the remainder of the 2016 season, so this is an important consideration for any potential trade.

Pryor, 26, was taken by the Raiders in the third round of the 2011 supplemental draft. He lasted a little over three years in Oakland before he was traded to the Seahawks for a seventh-round pick that ultimately became Jonathan Dowling.

Pryor briefly played for the Chiefs and Bengals before later being claimed off of waivers by the Browns. Cleveland elected to cut him loose to make room for Robert Turbin last year before bringing him back.

The Browns signed him to a one-year, $1.67 million restricted deal this past March, which means he’ll be an unrestricted free agent next year.

Entering today’s game, Pryor has appeared in four games and caught 19 passes for 290 yards receiving and a touchdown to go along with 21 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Thomas, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Browns back in 2007. He’s currently in the sixth year of his eight-year, $92 million contract that included $44 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $8.3 million for the 2016 season.

This season, Thomas has appeared in four games for the Browns and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 7 offensive tackle out of 75 qualifying players.

Haden, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Browns back in 2010. He’s currently in the third year of his six-year, $74.678 million contract that includes $45 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $10.1 million for the 2016 season.

This year, Haden has appeared in three games for the Browns and has recorded 12 tackles, two interceptions, and five pass defenses for the Browns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 9 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.
