Texans CB Aaron Colvin Could Miss At Least 6 Weeks With Ankle Injury

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Texans CB Aaron Colvin could end up missing at least six weeks with a serious ankle injury.

On Monday, Texans HC Bill O’Brien said Colvin “could” play again this season, so it doesn’t sound like a season-ending issue.

However, it’s tough for teams to carry a player on their active roster for six weeks or so, which means Colvin could be headed to injured reserve.

Colvin, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,673,152 contract before agreeing to a four-year contract worth $34 million with the Texans that includes $18 million in guarantees.

In 2018, Colvin has appeared in four games for the Texans and recorded 18 tackles and no interceptions or pass defenses.
