Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that Texans rookie CB Kevin Johnson broke his foot during Sunday night’s win over the Colts.

  • Wilson adds that this is the same foot Johnson had surgery on during offseason.

This would be a big loss for the Texans’ secondary, as Johnson has proven to be a quality addition for them at cornerback.

Johnson, 24, was taken in the first round of this year’s draft by the Texans. He signed a four-year, $10.04 million contract, which includes a base salary of $891,791 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Johnson has appeared in six games and recorded 25 tackles, no interceptions, a fumble recovery and three pass defenses for the Texans. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 11 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Johnson and his timetable as the news is available.
