Texans DB Richard Leonard Reverts To Injured Reserve List After Clearing Waivers

The Houston Texans officially placed Richard Leonard on their injured reserve list on Thursday after he cleared waivers.

Leonard, 24, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Florida International. However, he suffered a torn torn hamstring during OTA practice back in June.

Houston waived Leonard with the injury designation on Wednesday to make room for supplemental DT Ra’Zahn Howard.

During his four-year college career, Leonard recorded 196 tackles, 6.5 sacks, seven interceptions, 21 pass defenses, four fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles.
