Texans Have Received “A Lot Of Calls” Regarding Potential Trades

Texans HC Bill O’Brien told reporters on Friday that they have already received “a lot of calls” from teams looking to make trades.

“I’ve fielded a lot of calls,”O’Brien said, via the John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. “It’s that time of year, and those are interesting calls. It tells you what people think about your roster, and it also tells you about their roster. Without getting into details on that, you certainly field a lot of calls like, ‘We’re heavy here. Do you need this? It looks like you’re kind of light at that position?’ Those type of calls happen all the time.”

O’Brien wouldn’t say the specific positions being discussed during the talks with interested teams, but there has been a lot of speculation that they could make backup quarterback Case Keenum available.

All teams are most likely fielding calls right now, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise. However, it’s at least a confirmation that they have at least spoken to a few teams about potential moves.

We’ll have more updates if there’s any information available regarding possible trades for the Texans.
