Texans Could Part Ways With HC Gary Kubiak On Monday

John McClain of the Huston Chronicle wouldn’t be surprised to see Texans owner Bob McNair fire HC Gary Kubiak on Monday now that the Texans have earned the dubious distinction of being the worst team in the NFL.

A loss to the Jaguars is as bad it gets given how poorly Jacksonville has looked throughout the season. Houston got off to a 2-0 start, but have since lost a staggering nine straight games in a row.

Kubiak is no stranger to the hot seat. Before the Texans had earned playoff appearances in back-to-back season, rumors were circulating that the team could fire Kubiak and move in a different direction, but GM Rick Smith made the decision to stick with organizational continuity.

The Texans could be an attractive job this offseason as they do have some decent players and are very likely to be drafting in the top-five.

We’ll have more tomorrow regarding the Texans coaching position.
