Texans Place DL Devon Still On Injured Reserve, Promote DE Brandon Dunn

The Houston Texans announced Wednesday that they’ve placed DT Devon Still on injured reserve and promoted DE Brandon Dunn to their active roster.

  • The Texans also signed DE Dan Pettinato to their practice squad.

Still, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He spent just over two years in Cincinnati before he was released at the start of the 2014 season and later added to the team’s practice squad.

The Bengals brought Still back on a one-year, $740,000 contract back in March of last year. However, he was among their final roster cuts at the start of the season.

The Texan elected to sign Still to a future/reserve contract this past January and he managed to make the team coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Still has appeared in three games and recorded three tackles and no sacks for the Texans.

Dunn, 24, signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of back in May of last year. He spent most of his time with the Bears on and off of their practice squad before the Texans signed him to their active roster.

Dunn was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad.

In 2015, Dunn appeared in 12 games for the Texans and recorded nine tackles and no sacks.
