John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reported earlier this morning that the Texans have placed OL David Quessenberry on season-ending injured reserve.
- The Texans also announced their roster cuts which include: RB William Powell, WR Joe Adams, WR Alec Lemon, NT David Hunter, NT Austin Brown, OLB Terrance Lloyd, OLB Lawrence Sidbury, CB Junior Mertile, G Sam Longo.
Quessenberry, 24, was diagnosed with a life-threatening form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma back in June, so he has a very serious battle to attend to before he can hopefully shift his focus back to football.
Quessenberry was a sixth-round pick of the Texans during the 2013 NFL Draft. He didn’t appear in a game during his rookie season, but the team is reportedly optimistic that he will be able to develop into a solid player.
Wish Quessenberry the very best in his fight with cancer. #DQStrong
