Texans Placing OT Seantrel Henderson On IR, Promoting OT Roderick Johnson

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans are expected to promote OT Roderick Johnson to their active roster and place OT Seantrel Henderson on injured reserve.

This shouldn’t come as a big surprise, considering that Henderson suffered a season-ending ankle injury that will require surgery last weekend.

Henderson, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bills back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,270,880 rookie contract and made a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season.

The Texans signed Henderson to a one-year, $4 million contract that includes a $1.7 million base salary back in March.

In 2017, Henderson was limited to being active for seven games for the Bills.
