Texans QB Matt Schaub Is “Ready To Go”

Texans QB Matt Schaub is still sitting out of the teams’ OTAs while he recovers from a Lisfranc surgery that cost him the opportunity to play in last years’ playoffs. Despite the fact that he’s yet to participate in OTA’s, Schaub has said that he’s 100 percent healthy and is “ready to go.

“I’m ready to go,” said Schaub, via the Houston Chronicle.

Head coach Gary Kubiak mentioned that Schaub could have been participating in practice, but they ultimately chose to hold him out of practice as a precautionary measure. While T.J. Yates showed some promise during his rookie season, the Texans will need another solid season from Schaub if they’re looking to build on the greatest season in the history of the franchise.
