According to agent David Canter, the Texans have re-signed ILB Tim Dobbins to a one-year contract.
Dobbins, 30, wound up making six starts for the Texans last year, following the injury to LB Brian Cushing. His season ended after he suffered a severely sprained ankle and was subsequently placed on the injured reserve list.
As with most of the moves being made right now, the decision to retain Dobbins looks to be more of depth move than anything else, especially with Cushing expected to be back at full strength this season.
