Texans Re-Sign S Eddie Pleasant, Tender Contract To RFA CB A.J. Bouye

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans have re-signed S Eddie Pleasant to a two-year deal.

  • According to Wilson, the Texans have also extended a low-round tender to RFA CB A.J. Bouye.

The low-round tender will cost the Texans $1,671,000 for the 2016 season and give them the right of first refusal on any contract offer they receive. However, if they elect to not match an offer sheet, Houston would not receive any compensation for him.

Pleasant, 27, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2012. After spending most of his first season on their practice squad, he’s managed to make the 53-man each year after.

In 2015, Pleasent appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and recorded 36 tackles, a half sack, two interceptions, a recovery and six pass defenses.
