Texans Re-Sign S Quintin Demps To A One-Year, $1.5M Deal

The Houston Texans have re-signed S Quintin Demps to a new contract on Thursday, according to Mark Berman.

  • Aaron Wilson reports that Demps receives a one-year, $1.5 million contract from the Texans.

Demps, 30, is a former fourth round pick of the Eagles back in 2008. He spent just over two years in Philadelphia before he was cut at the start of the 2010 season and later signed on with the Texans.

After that, Demps has played for the Chiefs and Giants before returning to the Texans in August of last year.

In 2015, Demps appeared in all 14 games and recorded 62 tackles, a half sack, one interception, a forced fumble, two recoveries with one being returned for a touchdown and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 47 safety out of 89 qualifying players.
