Texans Re-Signing OLB Eric Lee

Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Texans are expected to re-sign OLB Eric Lee to a new contract on Wednesday, which comes just a day after the Texans placed him on waivers.

According to Auman, Houston had to change the language included in his rookie contract, which explains why he was cut and is now being re-signed.

Lee was among the Texans’ undrafted free agent signings last week.

During his four-year college career at South Florida, Lee recorded 90 tackles, 18.5 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery and four pass defenses.
