Texans Re-Signing RFA CB A.J. Bouye

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that Texans restricted free agent CB A.J. Bouye is signing his tender on Monday.

The Texans used a low-round tender on Bouye that will run them $1,671,000 for the 2016 season. This designation gave them the right of first refusal on any contract offer he received, but wouldn’t have included any compensation had they elected to not match an offer.

Bouye, 24, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of UCF back in 2013. He tested the open market for the first time this year as a restricted free agent.

In 2015, Bouye appeared in 15 games for the Texans and recorded 16 tackles, two interceptions and six pass defenses.
