Texans Reach Out To Veteran C Chris Myers About Returning To Houston

According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans recently reached out to free agent C Chris Myers about possibly returning to Houston.

  • However, Myers is reportedly considering “multiple options” with NFL teams right now.
  • If Myers does, in fact, re-sign with the Texans, McClain doesn’t see anything happening until training camp.
  • McClain adds that the Texans could use some more offensive line depth.

Houston cut Myers loose back in March and his market has been slow developing since he became available. The Raiders, Broncos and Seahawks have all shown some level of interest in Myers, so they could be the teams he’s considering.

Myers, 33, was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 16 center in the league last season out of 41 qualifying players. It’s worth mentioning that he hasn’t missed a single game in the last nine years.

We have Myers listed as the No. 8 player in our Top 25 Available Free Agents list.
