Texans Considered “Favorites” To Be Featured On Hard Knocks

Update:

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle mentions that he expects the Texans to be featured on this year’s Hard Knocks.

  • Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com previously confirmed that the Texans are among the finalists to appear on this season’s Hard Knocks.
  • According to Ganguli, the Texans are viewed as the “favorites” to be cast on the HBO series this summer.

Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland reports that Texans, Redskins and Bills are all considered to be “potential participants” for 2015 season of Hard Knocks.

  • John McClain also reports that the Texans are one of three teams who could appear on Hard Knocks.
  • According to McClain, an announcement could be made next week.

The Browns came up as a possibility several months ago, but publicly stated that they were not interested in being featured on the show. Cleveland mentioned that they wanted to protect quarterback Johnny Manziel, who spent a good deal of time in rehab earlier in the year.

Grossi spoke to a source who said that even though the Browns could be forced to participate in the show, their request will most likely be granted.

For what it’s worth, the nine teams that can be forced to do the show include: Browns, Texans, Jaguars, Vikings, Giants, Rams, Buccaneers, Titans, and Redskins.

We’ll have more regarding who will be featured on this year’s Hard Knocks as the news is available.
