Texans Reportedly “Growing Frustrated” With No. 1 Pick Jadeveon Clowney

The Houston Texans are “growing frustrated” with No. 1 overall pick OLB Jadeveon Clowney, according to Ian Rapoport.

  • Rapoport adds that Houston is aware that Clowney has never had to battle through a serious injury before, but they want him to “grow up” and be “more mature.”

During his final season at South Carolina, there were concerns that Clowney was coasting through the year in order to get to the NFL draft.

Unfortunately for Clowney, he sustained a meniscus tear during the first game of the season and wound up missing the first seven weeks of the season. Clowney returned last weekend, but played just 32 snaps.

Clowney is now expected to miss Week 9’s game against the Eagles due to an illness.

So far this season, Clowney has appeared in two games and recorded just two tackles for the Texans’ defense.
