Texans Rookie RB D’Onta Foreman Believed To Have Torn Achilles

Ian Rapoport reports that Texans rookie RB D’Onta Foreman is believed to have torn his Achilles during Sunday’s game.

If the Texans’ feared are confirmed, it would obviously end Foreman’s 2017 season and lead to him being placed on injured reserve next week.

It was clear that Foreman may have a serious injury after he was taken off the field with a left ankle injury.

Houston will move forward with Lamar Miller, Alfred Blue and Jordan Todman as their top three running backs.

Foreman, 21, was selected with the No. 89 overall pick by the Texans. He signed a four-year contract worth $3,159,484, which includes a signing bonus of $759,484, and stands to make base salaries of $588,500 and $678,500 over the next two years of the agreement.

Entering Sunday’s game, Foreman had rushed for 262 yards on 68 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with three receptions for 68 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Foreman’s injury as the news is available.
