Texans Sign Former Rams RB Daryl Richardson To Practice Squad

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans have signed former Rams running back Daryl Richardson to their practice squad on Wednesday.

  • According to Wilson, the Browns were also interested in possibly signing Richardson.

This comes just a day after Richardson worked out for the Oakland Raiders.

Richardson, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He spent two years in St. Louis before he was waived and later claimed by the Jets in May of last year.

Unfortunately for Richardson, he was among the Jets’ early roster cuts a few weeks back.

Richardson hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season when he ran for 215 yards on 69 carries (3.1 YPC) to go along with 14 receptions for 121 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
