Texans Sign LB Ricky Sapp, Make Three Other Moves

Mark Berman of MyFoxHouston.com reports that the Texans have signed LB Ricky Sapp to their active roster on Tuesday.

On top of that, Houston cut LB Jason Ankrah and WR Travis Labhart and signed S Josh Aubrey to their practice squad, according to Berman.

Sapp, 27, was a former fifth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2010, but he lasted just one year with the team before he was cut loose. Sapp later signed on with the Jets where he played for three years.

The Texans claimed him off of waivers in November of last year, but he was later released towards the end of July. Sapp appeared in 10 games during the 2013 season, but only recorded four tackles and a fumble recovery during this time.
