Texans Sign NT Marcus Hardison & OT Jake Rodgers To Practice Squad

The Houston Texans announced Wednesday that they’ve signed NT Marcus Hardison and OT Jake Rodgers to their practice squad.

The Browns’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. CB Bryce Jones
  2. CB Dee Virgin
  3. LB Kennan Gilchrist
  4. G Dorian Johnson
  5. RB Troymaine Pope
  6. TE Ryan Malleck
  7. DB Josh Thornton
  8. TE Zach Conque
  9. NT Marcus Hardison
  10. OT Jake Rodgers

Rodgers, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in May of 2015. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Giants’ practice squad at the start of the 2015 season.

After a few years with the Giants, Rodgers signed on with the Steelers this past May and had been on and off of their practice squad the past few months before a recent stint with the Chargers. Rodgers briefly returned the the Steelers.

Rodgers has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Hardison, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2015. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2.625 million contract and set to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season when the Bengals waived him coming out of the preseason.

Hardison had brief stints with the Jaguars and Patriots this season.

Unfortunately, Hardison spent the 2016 season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

Hardison has yet to appear in an NFL game.
