Texans Sign OL Josh Walker To Practice Squad, Cut OL Joseph Cheek

The Houston Texans announced that they’ve signed OL Josh Walker to their practice squad on Thursday and placed OL Joseph Cheek on waivers.

The Texans’ practice squad now consists of:

1. OL Chad Slade
2. WR Quenton Bundrage
3. LB Eric Lee
4. LB Shakeel Rashad
5. TE Eric Tomlinson
6. RB Akeem Hunt
7. DE Ufomba Kamalu
8. OL Josh Walker
9. DE Dan Pettinato
10. DB Denzel Rice

Walker, 25, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State back in May of 2014. He lasted just a few months in Indianapolis before he was waived and later signed to the Packers’ practice squad.

Green Bay brought Walker back on a future/reserve contract last year but he was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

In 2015, Walker appeared in 13 games for the Packers.
