The Houston Texans announced Wednesday that they’ve signed OT Laurence Gibson and WR Tevin Jones to their practice squad.
The Texans’ practice squad now consists of:
- OL Chad Slade
- WR Quenton Bundrage (injured)
- LB Eric Lee
- LB Shakeel Rashad
- DE Dan Pettinato
- TE Rashaun Allen
- OT Jeff Adams
- RB Kenny Hillard
- DE Brandon Dunn
- OT Laurence Gibson
- WR Tevin Jones
Gibson, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Cowboys back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months in Dallas before he was among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
The Chiefs later signed him to their practice squad at the start of the year and brought him back on a future/reserve deal in January. However, he was unfortunately placed on waivers shortly after this year’s draft.
Gibson later signed on with the Falcons before he was unfortunately cut loose coming out of the preseason. The Bears later signed him to their practice squad only to release him loose soon after. Gibson recently had a brief stint with the Giants.
Gibson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
