Texans Signing QB Zac Dysert To Practice Squad

Tania Ganguli of ESPN reports that the Texans are planning to sign QB Zac Dysert to their practice squad on Sunday.

  • Ganguli mentions that Dysert would obviously serve as the team’s No. 3 quarterback this season.

As of now that Texans’ practice squad reportedly consists of:

  1. ILB Max Bullough
  2. S Kurtis Drummond
  3. S Corey Moore
  4. DE Dan Pettinato
  5. WR Chandler Worthy
  6. TE Eric Tomlinson
  7. QB Zac Dysert

The Bears claimed Dysert off of waives less than a week ago, but he was among their final roster cuts on Saturday.

Dysert, 25, is a former seventh round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He was placed on waivers by the Broncos at the start of the 2014 season, but they later added him to their practice squad, so there’s a chance he could return to the team’s taxi squad in 2015.

Dysert has yet to appear in a regular season NFL game.
