Texans Still Trying To Re-Sign G Brandon Brooks

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans trying to retain free agent G Brandon Brooks before the market options.

However, Wilson mentions that there is a competitive guard market right now, which means retaining Brooks will likely be very expensive for the Texans.

Brooks, 26, finished out his rookie contract with the Texans and is now in position to cash in big time as one of the best interior offensive lineman in this year’s free agent class.

In 2015, Brooks appeared in 14 games for the Texans and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 37 guard out of 81 qualifying players.
