Texans Tried Out Five Players Including LB Marquis Flowers

According to Howard Balzer, the Houston Texans brought in five free agents for workouts on Monday including LB Marquis Flowers.

The full list of tryouts for the Texans includes:

  1. RB Josh Ferguson
  2. RB Ralph Webb
  3. LB Marquis Flowers
  4. CB Horace Richardson
  5. OT Corey Robinson

Flowers, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2014. He was traded to the Patriots at the start of last season in return for a 2018 seventh-round pick.

Flowers played out the final year of his four-year, $2,298,680 contract before returning to the Patriots this offseason. Unfortunately, he was released coming out of the preseason and later signed by the Lions.

Detroit released Flowers last week.

In 2018, Flowers has appeared in five games for the Lions and recorded two tackles.

Robinson, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Lions back in 2015. The Lions traded him to the Panthers for a conditional 2020 seventh round pick coming out of the preseason.

Robinson was in the final year of his four-year, $2.338 million contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season when the Panthers waived a few weeks ago.

In 2018, Robinson has been active for two games.
