Texans Waive CB Charles James

The Houston Texans have placed CB Charles James on waivers Monday, according to John McClain.

James was beaten by Packers WR Jordy Nelson for a touchdown on Sunday and he took the blame for his overall play after the game.

James, 26, was a standout on this year’s Hard Knocks while he was playing for the Texans. However, he wound up being among their final roster cuts at the start of the season and later caught on with the Ravens.

Unfortunately, Baltimore elected to waive James back in October of last year, but he was later claimed off of waivers by the Texans. The Texans brought James back on a one-year, $600,000 exclusive rights contract back in April.

In 2016, James has appeared in 12 games for the Texans and recorded 18 tackles, no interceptions, one pass defenses and 18 kick return yards.
