Texans Waive OT Roderick Johnson

The Houston Texans announced Thursday that they’ve waived OT Roderick Johnson.

Johnson, 22, is a former fifth-round pick of the Browns back in 2017. Cleveland actually traded up to get Johnson in last year’s draft before waiving him back in June.

The Texans later claimed Johnson off of waivers only to waive him coming out of the preseason. He signed on to Houston’s practice squad before being called up.

During his college career at Florida State, Johnson made 31 starts at left tackle and was the Jacobs Blocking Trophy as both a sophomore and junior.

Johnson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
