Texans Waive QB Case Keenum Following Ryan Mallett Trade

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that the Texans have already informed QB Case Keenum that he will be waived following the trade for QB Ryan Mallett.

There has been previous speculation that Keenum could end up in Baltimore with his former head coach Gary Kubiak, who is now running the Ravens’ offense.

Keenum, 26, has one year remaining on his contract and stands to make $495,000 for the upcoming season. However, he’ll be an exclusive rights free agent, which essentially means the team can re-up him for a very reasonable salary next without having to deal with other interested teams.
