Texans Waiving QB/WR B.J. Daniels

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans are placing QB/WR B.J. Daniels on waivers Monday.

Daniels, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2013. He lasted less than a year in San Francisco before he was waived and later claimed by the Seahawks.

Daniels was able to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was on and off the Seahawks’ roster before eventually being waived in December and later signed by the Texans.

He signed a two-year contract with Houston was set to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Daniels appeared in eight games and record one catch for 12 yards receiving to go along with six rushes for for six yards and no touchdowns. He also completed one of two passes for seven yards.
