The Houston Texans have announced that Case Keenum will be their starting quarterback for Week 7’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“He’s given me confidence through camp,” HC Gary Kubiak said regarding Keenum. “He continues to grow. We’re looking for a spark and he deserves an opportunity.”
“I didn’t hesitate because I felt like we needed a spark,” Kubiak said.
Keenum is from the University of Houston and has become somewhat of a fan favorite since joining the team. He’ll have a huge challenge against one of the best defenses in the league in the Chiefs.
Houston is obviously considering all of their options in case they decide to get out of Schaub’s contract this offseason, which will most likely be a popular topic in the coming weeks.
