Texans Work Out Free Agent OT Tyson Clabo

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that free agent OT Tyson Clabo is worked out for the Texans on Thursday.

Clabo worked out for the Cardinals a few weeks ago, but he wound up leaving Arizona without a contract from the team.

After finding no reported interest for most of the offseason, there appears to be a small market developing for his services, even though he could be forced to sign for the veteran’s minimum.

The Texans are expected to start Derek Newton at right tackle, so it could prove to be a wise decision to bring in some extra depth before the start of training camp.

Last year, Clabo appeared in 15 games for Miami last year and rated as the No. 45 offensive tackle in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.

We have Clano listed as the No. 20 player in our Top 50 – Best Available Free Agents list.
