Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes Visiting Texans Tonight & Tomorrow

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes is visiting with the Texans Sunday night and into Monday.

Mahomes has visited with the Jets, Browns, Steelers and worked out for the Bills in recent weeks. In total, Mahomes is expected to meet with 19 teams before the NFL draft.

Mahomes figures to be an intriguing option for the Texans, depending on how long he lasts in round one. Houston clearly could use a quarterback prospect and some believe he’s the best quarterback talent in this year’s draft.

Mahomes, 21, is the mix to come off the board in the first round of this year’s NFL draft. He has a big arm and could end up being an intriguing developmental project for a team.

During his college career, Mahomes threw for 11,252 yards while completing 63.5 percent of his passes to go along with 93 touchdowns and 29 interceptions. He also rushed for 845 yards and 22 touchdowns at Texas Tech.

We have him being selected by the Texans in the First Round of our 2017 NFL Mock Draft.
