Now that the good majority of big name free agents are off of the board, there are only a few players left that should garner a decent amount of interest. One player in particular could be Washington Redskins CB Carlos Rogers.
So far there has been an aggressive market for cornerbacks with a number of teams missing out on some of the best options which makes Rogers one of the more intriguing free agent options left.
Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports that the San Francisco 49ers have shown interest in CB Carlos Rogers. San Francisco has been in on every cornerback thus far and has yet to land any of them which makes you think that they could be more aggressive towards Rodgers.
Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette mentions that the Carolina Panthers could also have interest in him. The Panthers have probably been the most aggressive team throughout the offseason but wound up losing CB Richard Marshall to the Arizona Cardinals.
