Three Bids Were Submitted For The Bills, One In Excess Of $1 Billion

According to Josh Kosman and Lois Weiss of the New York Post, Buffalo Sabres owner Terrence Pegula placed a bid in excess of $1 billion for the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday.

The report mentions that this will most likely pave the way for the Bills to sell for record price.

Meanwhile, John Kryk of the Toronto Sun reports that the team received a total of three initial bids from prospective owners. Outside of Pegula, Jon Bon Jovi who is part of the MLSE group and Donald Trump were the other two bidders for the Bills.

Many expected fellow Buffalo Sabres owner Tom Golisano also be involved in the bidding, so there is a chance he could make a bid at a later point.

Jerry Zremski of the Buffalo News spoke with sources who mentioned that others could end up waiting until the last minute to submit their bids.

This would allow them to get a feel for the other groups involved and gauge the overall cost of purchasing the team.

It’s worth mentioning that Zremski expects Golisano to still be “very much in the mix.

We’ll have more regarding the Bills’ sale as the news is available.
