Titans C Brian Schwenke Out For Season With A Dislocated Ankle

The Titans have lost C Brian Schwenke for the remainder of the 2015 season after he suffered a dislocated ankle during Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins.

Schwenke said be appreciated all of the support he’s received in the past 24 hours.

“The support and positive words from all the friends, family and fans are helping in this tough time,’’ Schwenke said via text to Jim Wyatt. “I want nothing more than to be playing alongside my teammates.”

Schwenke, 24, was taken in the fourth round of the 2013 draft by the Titans. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $2.62 million rookie contract that included a $464,260 signing bonus. Schwenke will make base salaries of $585,000 and $675,000 over the remainder of the contract.

This season, Schwenke appeared in five games and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 27 center out of 34 qualifying players.
