Titans CB Jason McCourty Headed To Season-Ending I.R.

Titans HC Mike Mularkey told reporters on Monday that CB Jason McCourty needs another groin surgery, and will be placed on season-ending injured reserve, per Ian Rapoport.

McCourty’s named surfaced in some trade rumors ahead of the recent deadline with the Patriots being mentioned as a team with interest. However, nothing came of the reports.

McCourty, 28, is in the fourth year of his six-year, $44.26 million contract that included $17 million guaranteed. He’ll make base salaries of $6.8 million (2015), $7 million (2016-2017) over the remainder of the agreement.

This season, McCourty has been limited to appearing in four games and recorded 15 tackles and a pass defense for the Titans.
