Titans Claim TE Jerome Cunningham Off Waivers From Jets

The Tennessee Titans announced that they’ve claimed TE Jerome Cunningham off of waivers from the Jets on Wednesday.

This is the second time Cunningham has been claimed in as many weeks.

Cunningham, 24, originally signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Connecticut Stat back in 2014. He was unfortunately unable to make the 53-man roster that year, but was later added to their practice squad.

Cunningham was able to make the team in 2015 coming out of the preseason, but he lasted just a few months before he was waived and later added to their practice squad.

The Jets just recently claimed him off of waivers after the Giants cut him loose last week. However, the Jets waived him on Tuesday to make room for RB Romar Morris.

In 2015, Cunningham appeared nine games and recorded eight catches for 59 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
